Our program is intentionally small, with each puppy raised in our home from the start, surrounded by everyday family life to nurture confidence and a well-balanced temperament.

We Are Nichole & Dave
We are Nichole and Dave, the husband-and-wife team behind Good as Gold Doodles. We chose the name because we think “good as gold” should represent the standard behind every decision we make, from comprehensive health testing and carefully planned pairings to early puppy development and thoughtful family placement.
Based in the suburbs of Baltimore, Maryland, our program is intentionally small so we can give each litter the time, attention, and individual care it deserves. We take the time to understand each puppy’s personality and get to know every family, allowing us to make placements that are thoughtful, informed, and built to last.
Ingrid, our foundation dam, comes from Woodview Doodles, a program led by a GANA board member and one of the most respected goldendoodle lines in the country.

Our breeding dogs are selected for health, temperament, and the ability to pass their very best to the next generation. Every dog in our program meets full GANA health testing requirements, OFA physical clearances and a complete genetic panel, before any breeding takes place. Every puppy leaves with a 2-year genetic health guarantee.

We breed standard goldendoodles, which typically range from 60–80 pounds fully grown. They are well suited for families who want a larger, people-oriented companion dog.
Standard goldendoodles are known for being gentle, playful, and people-oriented. Our puppies are raised inside our home from birth, surrounded by everyday family life, which helps them build confidence and a well-balanced temperament before they ever meet their new family.
Good as Gold Doodles is based in the suburbs of Baltimore, Maryland. We place puppies with families across Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia, and up to Wilmington and Philadelphia. For families traveling in, we can arrange to meet at BWI airport for puppy pickup.
Waitlist length varies by litter. We raise a limited number of litters each year to make sure every puppy gets our full attention. Submit an application and we will be in touch personally about current availability and timing.
Yes. A $300 nonrefundable deposit secures your place on our waitlist. The remaining balance is due at puppy selection, around seven weeks of age. Your deposit can be transferred to a future litter if needed.
Deposit order sets the pick sequence, but temperament guides the match. Before matching begins in week seven, each family receives an individual evaluation of every puppy's confidence, energy level, and sensitivity. This gives families a clearer understanding of which puppy may be the best fit for their home and lifestyle, rather than choosing based on appearance alone.

We are GANA certified members, which means every breeding dog passes the full OFA health testing protocol and a complete genetic panel before any breeding takes place. Every puppy is raised inside our home, not in a kennel, on the Puppy Culture curriculum from birth through go-home day. And every approved family chooses their own puppy, in the order reservations were received, after we share what we have observed about each puppy's temperament, energy, and overall disposition.
